The Day Mindfulness Finally Clicked for Me

It didn’t happen with a meditation app or a perfect practice session.
It happened during baseball.

I noticed that after a bad at-bat, I wasn’t spiraling.
I wasn’t replaying it.
I wasn’t imagining what teammates thought.
I simply returned to the next pitch.

That single moment, that clean reset, felt different.
It felt like clarity.

I had spent years believing focus was something that sometimes showed up when things were going well. Now I realized it was something I could generate on demand.

That shift changed the trajectory of my life, not just my career.
