CO₂ Tolerance Is a Hidden Key to Better Conditioning

Most athletes think breathing harder = breathing better. Not true.

Mouth breathing dumps CO₂ too quickly, making it harder for oxygen to enter muscle tissue. That means quicker fatigue and lower work capacity.

Nasal breathing keeps CO₂ in the optimal range so the oxygen you inhale actually gets used. You feel more controlled, less frantic, and more capable under fatigue.

This is why I coach repeatable, intentional training. The stuff that builds efficiency instead of chaos. ReadyCoach is built on these same principles: do the basics well and let your system adapt the right way.
