A lot of people avoid the weight room because they think it is risky or only for athletes. The truth is the opposite. Strength training is the single most protective form of exercise we have. A couple short lifting sessions a week can reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, and cognitive decline.

You don’t need hours in the gym. You need consistent exposure to load.
