The Book That Changed How I Think About the Brain
Most people go their whole lives with only a surface-level understanding of how the brain actually works. When I picked up 7 ½ Lessons on the Brain by Lisa Feldman Barrett, something clicked.
The book breaks down complex neuroscience in a way that’s simple without being shallow. It teaches how the brain predicts, adapts, conserves energy, and constantly reshapes itself.
Once you understand that the brain is always trying to be efficient and is shaped by experience, it becomes easier to change your habits, your reactions, and even your identity.
Learning the science behind behavior made me a better coach and gave me more compassion for the athletes I work with, and for myself.
